I can't recommend D&B highly enough. When I first moved to Rochester, I didn't know any mechanics locally. I asked one of my coworkers for a recommendation and she literally jumped up to tell me all about this place. She couldn't say enough good things about them. She told me they were the best prices in town, that they never took advantage of her being a woman and tried to sell her things she didn't need, and always treated her well. I've been going to them for seven years now, and I've become the coworker who jumps up to tell everyone about them. Dave and Bruce are both incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and professional. They've always made time for my car when I had an emergency, and even stayed late to get me back on the road when I couldn't afford to miss work the next day. Their prices are always the best in town and not once have they tried to upsell me or give me service I don't need. I've had the dealership try to say I needed new brakes, and I insisted on taking my car here instead. Bruce took a look and told me I didn't need new brakes, gave me an idea of how much longer I had on the ones I was using, and told me if I wanted them swapped anyway here's how much it'd be. His quote was literally a quater of the Dealership's price. They're a great local business, and the only place 100% I trust with my car.

This place is seriously the best. They always take good care of my cars. Been going here for years because they are reliable, personable, trustworthy and amazing at what they do and how quickly they get the job done... Even with the high volume of cars they fix each day. I highly recommend them to everyone. Car troubles are stressful enough, they make the process less stressful. I truly cannot thank them enough.

First time using D&B based on rec from A friend. Dropped car off at 830AM and had it back with service concluded by 3PM. Excellent "bedside manner", fair prices and quality work. We have found our new mechanic! YAY! 😁 …

If you’re looking for a mechanic you can trust, go to Bruce. After wasting my money at other shops that didn’t actually fix my car, he diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and saved me money. Expert service and very honest.

Completely fair and honest. Told me when my car needs repairs, and when it's not worth it. They prioritize customer needs and honest practices over financial incentives. The only auto shop worth it in Rochester in my opinion.

Honorable mechanics—what I once thought was an oxymoron, has become truth in Dave and his partner. I had taken my Dodge Charger (that continued losing power while driving) to three (3) other mechanics, including two (2) dealerships, all of whom charged $250 for a 1hr diagnosis. $1k later, no one could figure it out nor did they wish to. Dave was kind, professional and honest. While the weeks rolled by that Dave had my car, he never wavered in his tone of politeness and professionalism in attempting to address the issue that he had never come across. My car had been out of commission for the majority of the summer and fall and Dave worked on my car’s mysterious symptoms between regular scheduled jobs he had in order to get me back on the road. Each week I called, he was honest in his report of what had been done and what continued to bewilder him. Nevertheless my car worked for that week, but it may be time for another and if my next car should have any trouble, I will be sure to bring it to D&B Auto as I appreciated the patience and care he gave myself and my vehicle.

I wish I could take them with me wherever I go!!! Customer service is outstanding. Both owners are true gentlemen. Bruce helped me while I was in town working for a month in Rochester when my power steering fluid was leaking. The business is busy all the time. Bruce made sure he could get my car in and fix it. When I arrived for the power steering fluid leak repair I asked him about a bulb out on my rear brake light as I was trying to figure out if I could do it myself. Bruce said he would be able to fix it no problem. They were straight forward and fixed my car in 30 minutes or less. I didn't have to worry about them adding extra repairs that didn't need to be done to fix my vehicle. I appreciate their integrity and exceptional service. I would go back to them anytime I'm in Rochester area. Thank you again!

Dave quoted me a reasonable price for the work the car needed. He then was able to manufacture a part himself, saving me over 40%. He’s honest and pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend him.

D & B auto is the place to go 100%! Bruce is incredibly skilled and honest. They were able to completely fix my fender in an hour and were super reasonable with their pricing. I recently moved to Rochester and will only be using them from now on!
